Aussie lingo

(It all sounds much cooler with an accent)

Jumper = sweatshirt/sweater

Sweet as = sweet/ cool / yeah man

Thong = flip flops

G- string = thong undies (important distinction, my roommate asked to borrow my thongs to go down to lunch and I was a little surprised at first...)

Mate = friend/ buddy

Dag = fool/dork

How you going? = How are ya?

Long black = black coffee (if you just ask for a black coffee you get weird things)

Keen = intent / wanting to do something , ex. " I'm keen to go to the beach " 

Reckon = think , as in "I reckon it will be a good time" 

 There are lots more, I'll keep them coming...

‘Merican Lingo that Aussies have found funny

"I feel ya" ... I thought it was a normal thing to say, but apparently my Aussie friend found it very funny. Should probably be careful with this one!
