I'm still alive! And still hot. Don't remember if I mentioned it before, but hostels in Gold Coast do not believe in air conditioning. Makes sleeping a bit uncomfortable. That being said, it is perfect beach weather, which is good because the beaches here are gorgeous. (I am staying in Surfer's Paradise for the week if anyone wants to google image it.) I would love to sit here and write tons more, for example, I would tell you all about the wildlife sanctuary that we went to yesterday, BUT I am using free internet at a travel store and there is a long line of internet hungry travelers staring me down to give up this computer. So, once again I can only leave you with the promise that I will tell all kinds of stories...eventually.

Look at me go, I included the link to Surfer's Paradise Google Images for ya! Hope it actually works, Cheers

Happy Turkey Day

Hellooooo. I have not forgotten about the blog, I have just been off on adventures! I won't go into detail yet (because internet access is limited), but since Tathra, I have been quite busy! I went to Bali, finished finals, went scuba diving and snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef, and spent a day exploring Brisbane in the rain, among other things. Sonya and I have been moseying our way around the East Coast and enjoying every bit of it. Today we caught a train and two buses from Brisbane down to Byron Bay. I love it here already, it seems like a cool, funky beach town. I called home earlier today and got to talk to the rents and a couple of the grandparents, but unfortunately, I just missed everyone else who was there for the turkey feast. So hello to all the rest of you too! Sorry I missed you, I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I miss home a lot, especially today, but I am happy that I stayed to explore some more. I would not have been satisfied to go home until I squeezed in these last few adventures. That being said, I am so excited to see everyone at Christmas! Less than a month, it feels bittersweet on this end already.

Welp, we are off to explore the town and hopefully find some good grub. I have been craving mexican food, but I suppose that will have to wait (it barely exists here). I will tell you all kinds of stories when I am back on my own computer and am able to include picture, etc. In the meantime, hope you all are enjoying the onset of winter and remember, while you are piling on the sweaters I will be at the beach! (Sorry Mom, had to rub it in a little). Adios!
